The hit song was “Purple People Eater” in June and July.The “Witch Doctor” was number 2 . Along with all of that so did the Flat-Finned,Chrome Ladin , and all new 58 Oldsmobile. It was a weird and wonderful year! The 1958 was introduced in Oldsmobile showrooms on November 8, 1957. This was the year in which the concept of planned obsolescence was at its peak, and General Motors carried it to the Hilt with totally-new 1958 cars that would last only one model year and be Replaced by totally-new 1959 cars. This SUPER 88 CONVERTIBLE has a 371ci. V8 engine, the real Jetaway Hydra-Matic Transmission, along with Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Top, and the optional Trans-Portable-Radio. This is a TOTAL FRAMEOFF automobile from the powder coated frame, inner fender liner panels, under the hood braces, to the acid dipped, primed and painted nuts, bolts, washers, etc, that this car was put back together with. Just to mention a few items we shall start with a 302ci Mustang engine, C4 transmissions and 9 inch Ford rear end. All TCI metal parts including frame. The new top comes with side panels. The beautiful interior speaks for it self and displayed with VDO. Instrument panel. The exterior is a beautiful two tone paint displaying black fenders and running boards. SORRY SOLD: 1950 FORD-F1-PICKUP is with out a doubt one of the most desirable to own. The restoration was performed in Grant Oregon. Most of the parts came from Bob Drake, a well known supplier of Ford parts in Grant’s Pass. To mention some interesting items that you may be thinking about, let me start with the new suspension, king pins, drag link, center link, pitman arms and ball joints. Next the new brake drums and shoes etc. As far as the body goes I have not seen any bondo or rust, which doesn’t surprise me, considering where it came from. The paint is the original color and about an eight.The chrome and stainless is nice.The interior is very nicely done. The seat at first glance looks to be replaced as original, until you realize that the area that you sit on is a great looking fabric, “no more sticking to the old bench seat. The transmission is the original 3speed on column. The motor has 1500miles on it and runs like new it’s a 239ci Flathead V-8 with manuals. SOLD--- 1955 FORD -F100-PICKUP has become one of the most desirable pickups due to the large size cab, and overhead valve engine.this great pickup hails from Tennessee. It was owned and used by a local grocer to deliever groceries in Martin, Tennessee. The second owner purchased this truck in 1991 and spent 3 years on the resteration. The work was done at his dealership body shop- total bare brake, etc. The 239CI Y block is the original with a complete NAPA rebuild. The truck has been driven less than 300 miles since restoration. The purchase shall include the original Tennessee title dated 11/4/57. As you can see from the pictures this beauty was restored back to original, except for the bumpers, directional signals with hazard flashers for safty, and the tastefully done oak rail sides to offset the oak bed. Everything from inside the cab, the engine compartment, and from the front bumper to the back is highly detailed. This has to be one of the best in the country!!!
